PSA: Check Your Fluid Levels!

We had a number of vehicles come in last week with low fluid levels. Please be sure to check your fluid levels. Checking vehicle fluid levels is critical, especially if you know you have leaks! One client, unfortunately, has caused irreversible damage to their engine. The other four were much luckier.

This image is from a vehicle that has an oil leak. The client is still working from home and not driving as much, so they went over the time frame on the oil change and waited to come in for service and a check-up until they reached the mileage. They are incredibly lucky to have not caused more severe damage, like the previous vehicle.

We had another truck with the coolant reservoir tank completely empty. Another SUV with low oil ended up causing the check engine light to come on, but luckily vehicle operated normally after correcting the oil level. We had another car two quarts low on transmission fluid. These last four cars, extremely lucky I didn't have to give them the same news as the Monday truck.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR FLUID LEVELS. IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO, STOP BY MY SHOP OR CHECK OUT YOUTUBE OR READ YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL.

But please do something.

Please make it a habit to check your fluid levels if you have a vehicle with higher mileage, or that is old, or that has a known leak.
