Use My Knowledge, I Beg You

Taking your vehicle in for periodic inspections is key to long term reliability. When you take your car into the same shop at least every 4 to 6 months, you allow the shop to build a relationship with your vehicle. The Service Smart program works because the members bring their cars in proactively. If you only take your vehicle to the shop in reaction to emergencies, you will always be stuck reacting.

Proactive visits are crucial with fleets of vehicles. I understand how difficult it can be to keep track of multiple vehicles, making regular check-ups even more necessary.

The great thing about regular visits is that they are often less involved. Checking tire pressure and fluid levels takes less time than diagnosing severe issues. We would much prefer to top off your fluids than receive a phone call at 5 PM because your car is running hot, and you noticed there’s no coolant. ☹

Financial freedom and peace of mind are achieved not only by knowledge but also by action. There are so many things going on right now, don’t let car problems add to that stack. Proactive check-ups will serve you and your goals and save you lots of time and energy in the long run.

Remember, when you have your car checked out, you don’t have to buy anything that day. You have a couple of hours to kill in between meetings? Call your shop; maybe they have time for a quick once over. They can send you an estimate (or call you), and you can schedule a date to come back.

Not sure about going to the shop due to COVID-19. Ask your auto repair shop what precautions they are taking, and be sure to take some of your own. Stay safe and Service Smart!
